What would have happened in America if…

“While looting often becomes an issue post-disaster, it’s been the exact opposite in Japan.
Since the March earthquake and tsunami that leveled much of Japan, thousands of wallets containing a total of $48 million in cash have washed ashore — and been turned in, ABC reports. In addition, 5,700 safes containing $30 million in cash also have turned up.
Ryuji Ito, professor emeritus at Japan’s Yokohama City University, tells the Daily Mail that these acts of integrity are simply reflective of the culture:
“…The fact that a hefty 2.3 billion yen in cash has been returned to its owners shows the high level of ethical awareness in the Japanese people.”
And doing the right thing doesn’t just end with the people who found the money. Japanese officials have also worked tirelessly to track down owners and return safes and other valuables.
Police in Miyagi prefecture searched for residents at evacuation centers and made their way through missing person reports and address forms at the post office, according to ABC. Police also met with mayors and called any cell phone numbers they could find. Officials tell the news outlet that the difficulty lay in determining whether homes were gone and if the owners were actually still alive.”

Do you think most Americans would have turned the wallets in to the authorities?
Do you think the ones who did would be ridiculed by friends and family?
What happened to America?

There are many good people in the U.S. who would turn in the wallets, and if they told others about doing that, some would be ridiculed….so sad, but I think the majority would just keep what they found. Our wonderful country has for the most part turned from God to serve self, idols, and money. Parents for the most part do not pray for their children, teach morals, love of country, -all values that used to be a ‘given’ from our parents and teachers and even the government. Lovers of self, and pleasure, is what the Bible said would happen, and God`s word does not return to Him void…I am not able to get your Jewish Jewels program on TV since it all went digital..cable is not in my budget. Will your programs be on the internet to view, or can I buy the DVD of them?
I enjoy watching TAK on the internet! Someday I hope to be able to meet you at TAK! Thank you for your faithfulness to the Lord!

All depends the grade of culture (if any) civil responsability, authorities integrity, but most of heart-home basics social rules from honests parents. Within the hispanic culture, who ever returns a penny found on the street will be ridiculized and object of nasty comments. But is not everyone. I am blessed to be honest, and make my daily living working honestly, because I learned it from fantastic parents and I teach it to my kids to make fantastic citizens and be pride of them. I know it is a great and easy opportunity to make extra bucks, but no the way Our Father in Heaven wants we to take advantage. Have wonderful days.
