JAMIE'S NOODLE KUGEL


8 oz. wide noodles
1/4 pound of butter
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup sugar

1 cup milk
3 eggs
handful raisins
junior size box of corn flakes


1. Boil noodles (about 5 minutes).

2. Drain.

3. Place in 9x9 baking dish.

4. Melt butter in bowl (microwave 30 seconds).

5. Add sour cream, vanilla, and sugar.

6. Stir to mix.

7. Gently stir into noodles.

8. Heat milk (1 minute in microwave) then add eggs and beat lightly.

9. Stir gently into noodles.

10. Add raisins.

11. Crush corn flakes and sprinkle evenly over top.

12. Bake 1 hour in preheated 350 F oven. Serve warm.

 

NOODLE KUGEL (Noodle Pudding)

 

8 oz. wide noodles
3 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
pinch of salt
3/4 stick margarine, melted
6 oz. can fruit cocktail drained
6 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained

1/2 cup white raisins
8 oz. cottage cheese - large curd
8 oz. sour cream
8 oz. Cremora
2 1/2 cups corn flakes
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons sugar


1. Boil noodles (about 5 minutes).

2. Drain.

3. In large bowl cream eggs, sugar, vanilla, salt and margarine.

4. Add raisins and drained fruits.

5. Add cottage cheese, sour cream and Cremora.

6. Add noodles, fold in gently.

7. Pour into greased baking dish.

8. Mix cinnamon, sugar and corn flakes in a plastic bag.

9. Crush by hand.

10. Pour evenly on top of kugel.

11. Bake for 1 hour at 350 F.
