The fundamental issue between the Jews and the Arabs in the middle east is a cultural worldview. The Jewish people celebrate LIFE while the Arabs celebrate DEATH. It has often been said: “If all the Arabs put down their weapons there would be no more war, but if all the Jews put down their weapons there would be no more Jews.” It has taken me several days to be able to calm my spirit enough to report on the following tragedy. About 11:30 PM on March 11, terrorists entered the home of the Fogel family in Itamar, Israel through the living room picture window. They did not notice the 6-year-old boy sleeping on the couch and continued on to the bedroom where they slashed the throats of the father and newborn baby who were sleeping there. The mother came out of the bathroom and was stabbed on its threshold. They then slashed the throat of the 11-year old-son who was reading in bed. They did not notice the 2-year old asleep in his bed, but murdered the 3-year old with two stabs to his heart. After that, they locked the door, exited through the window and escaped. The eldest daughter of the Fogel family, 12 year old Tamar, was not at home at the tome of the murders. She promised her relatives: “I will be strong and succeed in overcoming this. I understand the task that stands before me, and I will be a mother to my siblings”. There was rejoicing in the streets of Gaza, handing out of sweets and stated approval on the part of Hamas at the news of the murders. The Fogel family has made photos of the murder victims available to the public. They are VERY GRAPHIC. They can be viewed at http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/142846
